Upcycled Project Runway ( Ages 8 – 14 )
Does your child have a knack for fashion ? In this program your child will get to explore their one of kind fashion sense in creating a look for our upcycled fashion show . These junior designers will spend the first day planning a look for the mini debut show . In the following days they will create their look using discarded objects , materials and other clothing to create their own higher quality outfit just for them . Students will learn to hand sew , working with sewing needles and hot glue guns under the supervision of the instructor . Please keep in mind they may have some work to take home to complete their piece in time . On the last day , participants will finish their looks and line up to strut down the runway for parents , family and friends to show off their unique look . All necessary materials will be supplied , but if you want to purchase or repurpose other materials for your child to refine their outfit , you may . On the last day class will extend for the fashion show . Families will be invited to come at 5:30 pm to take their seats and the show will begin at 5:45 pm . Led by Kelli Schillaci .
