IHLs may collaborate with the industry to offer lifelong
learning scheme for relevant continuing professional
education (CPE) programmes and specialized
courses which are needed for high growth areas and
critical occupations.

Through this scheme, IHLs can provide better
support to their alumni by keeping them updated on
the latest development within the industry and
providing the relevant courses for reskilling or
upskilling at a discounted course fee.
Industry association should also play an active role
in cultivating a culture of lifelong learning among
employers by increasing awareness on the
available platforms and schemes for CPE
programmes.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) has

developed a program called NUS Lifelong Learners,
through which all NUS alumni are automatically
eligible for continuing education and training (CET)
courses. For a start, NUS will draw up plans for each
student's career and learning path, for up to 20 years
from the time he is admitted. Under this program, NUS
Alumni can enjoy the privileged opportunity to study up
to a maximum of 2 modules over a 3-year period. NUS
will offer virtual vouchers to alumni to offset the cost of
one of its CET courses of their choosing.

Taylor’s alumni are entitled to a lifetime discount of up
to 20% to pursue Continuing Professional Education
(CPE) at Taylor’s Centre for Continuing Professional
Education which offers several short courses aimed at
improving and developing professional skills.
