All three brands have similar target audiences. Their customers love traditional British wear, that is well made and tailored but still follow the trends. As the brands are fairly expensive the customers have an above average to high income. Meaning they all have successful jobs. Or, some customers might just be big fans of the brand and save up so they are able to afford the odd garment. The age range is 30-60 due to all the different styles and garments they sell.

Another similarity is that all three of the brands have been marketed in magazines. Including the most prestigious fashion magazine of all, Vogue. As well, they all have social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. They all use the social media to promote the brand and the clothes they sell. What I think is good about their social media accounts is that each brand varies what they upload on each

account so customer aren’t seeing the same pictures all the time.

The garments that the brands all sell are very similar. Paul Smith and Hackett are similar because Hackett is known for being very traditional with very good tailoring. As Paul Smith is a heritage brand he also stocks very traditional items. As well, Paul's business thrives due to his immaculate tailoring. The pricing between the two isn’t too big, a customer would pay £35 pounds more at Paul Smith for a simple linen shirt. Although the t-shirts are more expensive at Hackett than Paul Smith.

Ted Baker has more in common with Paul Smith. This is because not only is Ted Baker known for its perfect fabrics and tailoring like Paul, Ted also loves to incorporate lots of colours and fun patterns into his designs. Although, Ted Baker is fairly cheaper than Paul Smith which would sway more customers to shop at Ted Baker, as they are very similar retailers.
