historical evidence about erosion rates , means that no inferences can be made about the relative sediment yields between the gullies outlined in the various clusters . Analysis of relative sediment yield and hence relative threat to the GBR is the focus of analysis in Stage 2 of the project .
The assessment of the ‘ hotspot ’ areas in the BBB catchment ( Figure 34 ) identified obvious clusters of active gullies around the BBB focal catchment . Seventeen major clusters that will potentially lend themselves to undertaking rehabilitation works in a more cost-effective manner centred around each cluster group ( Figure 35 ). Some of these clusters are located on a single property while others may cross property boundaries . In the examples where the clusters cross property boundaries there will be significant cost-efficiencies in working with all land owners / lessees .
