large scale gully sites that have gold standard monitoring ( see Table 4 ) were calculated as approximately $ 41 / tonne ( Mt Wickham ), $ 49 / tonne ( Glen Bowen ), $ 128 / tonne ( Strathbogie ) and $ 369 / tonne ( Mt Pleasant ). The cost-effectiveness of the streambank and revegetation projects were comparable to some of the gully projects .
In addition to the above , 36 of the projects ( 43 %) within Table 3 recorded insufficient changes to trigger a full P2R ‘ step change ’, e . g . from High Risk to Moderate Risk in the P2R Water Quality Risk Framework . This essentially means that while some progress was made in improving practice , in many cases the change did not qualify as a complete shift between these risk categories ( as assessed by the DAF Management Practice Adoption team ).
A set of criteria are adopted consistently by the P2R program to assess this and applied as part of the quality control and data processing in the preparation of information for the annual Report Cards . These projects are likely to generate some sediment reductions , yet without a full step change , fine sediment reduction estimates cannot be modelled using this tool . For these projects there is therefore no result for the costeffectiveness despite having a probable sediment saving .
