Final LDC WQ Report | Page 119

Method :
• The Management change scenario consisted of the collation of three years of LDC change information ( i . e ., completed on-ground activities / projects ). Three types of management change activities were considered , including direct gully intervention , streambank and grazing land management ( e . g . GLM wire and water , grader projects and revegetation ). Collated project data was supplied by the LDC Project team and reviewed by the P2R Management Practice Adoption Team in DAF ( refer to main Report Section 4.2.3 ).
• To create an average annual reduction , we divided the total reduction by the number of LDC project years .
Results :
The assessment of the relative contribution of the LDC Project reductions to the Burdekin ( end-of-valley ) sediment and nutrient reductions found that :
o On average the LDC Project contributed 44 % of the fine sediment load reductions . The annual average modelled fine sediment reduction for the LDC Project is estimated at 2,410 tonnes per year .
o On average the LDC Project contributed 29 % of the PP load reductions . The annual average modelled PP reduction for the LDC Project is estimated at 2.2 tonnes / per year .
o On average the LDC Project contributed 26 % of the PN load reductions . The annual average modelled PN reduction for the LDC Project is estimated at 3.2 tonnes / per year .

Request 2 . b : For all investment streams within the BBB , what has been the total sediment and particulate nutrient change at each scale ( for years 1 , 2 and 3 ).
It would be useful to look backwards over time to identify the trajectory of annual sediment and particulate nutrient change occurring within the catchment and if this recent investment creates any “ jumps ” or “ shifts ” from the historical patterns . Scale : BBB catchment
