Scenarios , Landholders Driving Change ( LDC ) Project : modelled water quality outcomes at the subcatchment and basin scales

To assess LDC Project performance and provide insights into targeting , Burdekin P2R catchment scenario modelling was collated or run . Specifically , the following scenario data were requested for the Final LDC Project Performance Report :
• Request 1 : Full Burdekin Reef 2050 Report Card sediment reduction data for each LDC year it is available . Scale : Burdekin Region .
• Request 2 :
( a ) LDC project annual sediment and particulate nutrient change for the BBB for each discrete project year ( 1 to 4 ). Scale : sub-catchment ( i . e ., Rosella ), catchment , and the BBB combined .
( b ) For all investment streams into the BBB , what has been the total sediment and particulate nutrient change at each scale ( for years 1 , 2 and 3 ).
It would be useful to look backwards over time to identify the trajectory of annual sediment and particulate nutrient change occurring within the catchment and if this recent investment creates any “ jumps ” or “ shifts ” from the historical patterns . Scale : BBB catchment
• Request 3 : Provide erosion types by land use within each sub catchment ( i . e ., hillslope / streambank / gully ) pivot table . ( Baseline Scenario ).
The results for each of these requests are presented below . The reader is referred to McCloskey et al . ( 2021 ) for further detail on the GBR Source Catchments Model , including methods and modelling assumptions .
Request 1 : Full Burdekin Reef 2050 Report Card sediment reduction data for each LDC year it is available . Scale : Burdekin Region .
Method :
• Report card data was collated from the existing baseline model runs ( McCloskey et al . 2021 ).
• Note , as there was no model run in 2017 , a combined 2017 and 2018 Report Card ( Report Card Number 9 ) was released in LDC Project Year 1 .
