F Badgie: I think it might be lack of skills and low self-confidence among some women of becoming a bus driver like their male counter-parts, may be some might want to be, but lack confidence in themselves and without confidence one cannot achieve his / her goals.
50 / 50: what do you think could be done to encourage more women to get into the industry?
F Badgie: I think the bus industry should provide support needed so as to ensure that female employees have access to the necessary support structures such as career development training, create an opportunity and flexible working patterns for them.
50 / 50: What do you think about low percentage of women at bus industry?
Moses: I think the coach and bus industries are not promoted by schools and career professionals. As a result many women, and sometimes even men, are not aware of the opportunities the industry can offer, and I think some people see it as a very challenging job.
50 / 50: Do you think female drivers are really needed in the driving industry and what do you think can be done to get more women into the industry?
Moses: Of course yes women are needed because I think there should be a gender balance at work places, and they should be encouraged to come forward and join.
