The BA ( Hons ): Childhood Practice degree programme , delivered in partnership with Queen Margaret University , is designed to provide a rigorous , academic area of study , enabling you to develop the necessary skills and understanding to register as a Lead Practitioner or Manager of Childcare Settings with the Scottish Social Services Council .
The degree meets the rules and requirements set out in the Standard for Childhood Practice ( Revised 2015 ) and is jointly approved by the Scottish Social Services Council .
The BA ( Hons ): Childhood Practice provides a practicebased examination of the theoretical approaches important to leadership and management within childhood practice .

As this is a practice-based qualification , you must be employed in an Early Learning and Childcare setting throughout our studies and have your employer ’ s approval to undertake this qualification

You will graduate with the knowledge of the multi-disciplinary nature of working with young children and their families , as well as the importance of quality partnerships with parents and other agencies .

You will also require a compulsory PVG check through Disclosure Scotland prior to undertaking the work placement element of this course . Fife College will arrange this with you on starting your studies
