6.2 Mask off or
protect the face of the
laminate top from glue
over spray and confirm
that the end cap will
fit properly and is not
damaged.
Spray the end of the
countertop and the
end cap with spray
contact adhesive ac-
cording to the direc-
tions specified on the
glue can.
6.3
Align the end
cap to the top and
apply ensuring the
raw end of the top is
completely covered.
Apply firm pressure to
the cap to attain a full
bond.
Use caution not to ap-
ply excessive pressure
to the material that
overhangs as it could
break and damage the
cap.

6.4
Trim the cap
to the countertop end
profile with a trim-in
router. Confirm the
router bit is clean and
sharp. If not the bit
could scorch or dam-
age the top laminate.
Finish detailing the
routed edge with a file.
