Step 1
Dishwasher Access

Unless specifi ed differently, access to the dishwasher through the sink cabinet
will be provided through a 2-1/2” hole bored in the bottom back corner of the sink box.
Drill the hole centered 1-1/2” up from the bottom panel and in from the back of the
cabinet box to clear any fasteners used in the cabinet assembly.

These openings are dif-
ferent from the openings
made to accommodate
protrusions from the
walls or fl oor. They will
accommodate plumbing
and electrical work that
does not yet exist but
will be installed after the
cabinets are completed.
These access points may
be visible or hidden. Ei-
ther way they should be
cut with care and within
specifi cations as they will
be relied upon by other
tradespeople as well as
viewed by the home-
owner.
