Place the fi rst piece
and secure it with nails.
Make sure that the cleat lines
up behind the line where the
adjoining piece will lie.

Install the mating
perpendicular piece. Con-
fi rm that it does not fl ex the
fi rst piece out of alignment.
Carefully nail the corner so
that the joint is not spread
open.
