Types of Crown Molding Cuts
Square to Inside Corner
Outside to Outside Corner
Inside to Outside Corner
Inside Splice to Outside Corner
Individual Crown Molding lengths may require different cuts to either end depending on the application.
This illustration details some of the possible combinations.

Measuring Crown Molding
Typical Crown Molding Profile Parts
Since Crown Molding
projects from a surface,
the dimension of a length
of crown will increase or
decrease depending on the
direction of the cut and the
location of the profi le being
measured.
For this reason, the most
accurate place to measure
crown molding is along the
Bottom Face of the molding
that contacts the cabinet or
sub crown.

Back
Measuring
and Marking Edge
This Measuring and Mark-
ing Edge of the molding
is along the Bottom Face
where it connects to the
Lower Back of the profi le.
