Cut 2 cleats 1-1/4” x 10-
1/8” for securing the shroud to the
hood cabinet top.

Identify the material speci-
fi ed for the shroud and cut the
required pieces.
Step 2
If the Hood Vent Shroud
is designed without outside corner
molding, edgeband the two
vertical edges of the front panel.
Cut 2- 4”x 4” diagonal corner
cleats as well for the top inside
corners of the shroud.
Assemble and Install the Shroud
2.1
Install the side cleats to the
top of the wall hood cabinet. Tack in
place with 1-1/4” nails (optional).
Finish securing the cleats with 1-1/8”
screws.
2.2
If possible, it is easiest to assemble the shroud on a bench and
slide it in place over the cleats as a single piece.
If conditions do not allow, assemble the shroud in place.
