Once the Wall Cabinet Index Line height is established, from the fl oor at the Highpoint measure its height from the Base Cabinet Index Line. Use this dimension to mark the wall at intervals above the Base Cabinet Index Line and trace the Wall Cabinet Index Line lightly onto the wall. Make sure that both lines are parallel and horizontal. Step 4 Calculating Run Length and Filler Sizes Your installation can proceed effi ciently and with the least likelihood of installation layout errors if each cabinet and appli- ance location is marked on the wall. With the Base and Wall Cabinet Index Lines already marked, you can now mark accurate locations of the cabinet boxes and appliance openings by drawing light vertical lines showing where each cabinet edge aligns, along with the corre- sponding cabinet number written in the area behind where it will be installed. The following will describe how this can be done quickly. Field Tip: Minimum Filler Widths Minimum width for a wall cabinet fi ller is 1” wide. Base cabinet fi llers may be as small as 1” if they span to a wall. Base cabinet fi llers must be at least 2” wide if they make up either side of an inside corner. ©2017 PCS Professional Cabinet Solutions. All Rights Reserved. Section 1: IMS 102 7
