Drink up and Power Up, says Wanin Industries
LOOKING to quench your thirst with a refreshing drink with an authentic Asian flavour? Then head to booth 6G4-01, where Wanin Industries is offering its new range of fruit drinks, which include flavours such as Honey Kumquat( citrus japonica), Sour Plum, Tamarind Pineapple and Soy Sauce.
Raymond Ker, general manager of Wanin Industries, explains:“ We want to present a refreshing and healthy drink with a distinct South-east Asian taste, which is reflected in the flavours we choose.
“ This new range of drinks is only about one month old, but test trials have proved highly favourable, and it is being well-received in countries such as China.”
ISO-certified and having operated in the bottled water industry for the past 32 years, Wanin Industries owns its own water source.
Many of the key supermarket house brands, Tan reveals, is also packed by the company.
Another exciting new development, says Wanin Industries, is the imminent launch of Power Up, a series of caffeine energy drinks.
Declaring Power Up as the first of its kind in Asia, Eugene Tan, export manager, Wanin Industries, describes:“ Each bottle of Power Up contains caffeine that is equivalent to one cup of expresso, and is why we think it will appeal to avid coffee drinkers, while offering a healthier alternative because of its low sugar count.”
Continuing on its Asian-centric theme, Power Up will be available in lychee, coconut, grapefruit and mangosteen flavours. Cool and refreshing, the beverage has also been concocted to ensure that the taste of caffeine does not become the overwhelming taste.
The key demographic target that Power Up is aiming at, reveals Tan, are those in their 20s to 30s who place an emphasis on a healthy lifestyle.“ I think it is counter-productive for someone, after exercising, to down an energy drink that may be sugar-laden,” he adds.“ As Asia continues to look for healthier drinks, we believe that Power Up offers all the health benefits that the health-conscious consumer is looking for in an energy drink.”
Expected to be launched this May, Wanin is also looking to obtain the Healthier Choice Symbol( HCS) for Power Up. Granted by Singapore’ s Health Promotion Board, HCS endorses packaged products as being healthier choices for consumers. If you need an energy boost to continue through the halls of FHA2018, Power Up might be just what you need.
