Solutions Details looking to
revolutionise retail space with AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) is re-shaping the
global business landscape, and is poised to
revolutionise the retail space, says Lorne
Chew, business director, Solutions Details.
Established in 2003, Solutions Details
specialises in accounting software, enter-
prise resource planning (ERP), inventory
management (IM), warehouse manage-
ment (WMS), point of sale (POS) and
customer relationship management (CRM)
for single and chain store retailers.
For the front-end retail store, the
company provides POS, CRM, e-menu,
e-catalogue, kitchen display system (KDS),
self-service payment kiosk and mobile or-
dering systems.
Today, Solutions Details is committed
to helping its customers eliminate invest-
ment in hardware through the migration
to the cloud, and more importantly, the
integration of AI. For instance, the Flexi
AI_ChattyBoT allows eateries to eliminate
the costs of installing e-menu devices, and
the network infrastructure required to
power them, says Chew. Instead, customers
need only to key in a QR code and begin to
start ordering on their individual devices.
Payment is supported by multiple digital
payment modes such as Apple Pay, and can
also be conducted via cryptocurrency.
“An AI bot will also advise on how many
minutes the customer can be expected to
wait for their food and it can also build cus-
tomer loyalty by making recommendations
on future visits, based on previous orders,”
Chew says.
Solutions Details’ new POS system is
now completely hardware-independent,
and can support iOS, Android or Windows,
and the company is the only one in the in-
dustry doing so, alongside its AI initiative,
he reiterates.
Already serving wide-known brands
such as Zaffron Kitchen, First Gourment
and Spinelli Coffee Company, Solutions
Details is continuing to innovate, including
the integration of IBM voice recognition
software in its POS systems.
