Automation is key for the De’Longhi Group
WITH the vision of turning people’s every-
day into something special, the De’Longhi
Group has traditionally concentrated on the
consumer market.
FHA2018 represents one of the com-
panies’ first forays into the hospitality and
business-to-business sectors, reveals Tom
Mitchell, business development director,
Asia-Pacific and Americas, De’Longhi
Kenwood A.P.A., De’Longhi Group.
He explains: “We are experts in innova-
tion and industrialisation, with 80% of our
products self-manufactured in our own
factories.”
At booth 3C2-07, the De’Longhi, Ken-
wood, Braun and Eversys brands offer
small domestic appliances in coffee, food
preparation and cooking industry, as well
as household cleaning and ironing.
Automation is also a key area the
De’Longhi Group is integrating into all of
its products, Mitchell reveals, as a delicious
aroma of freshly brewed coffee permeates
the booth.
The PrimaDonna Elite Experience, for
instance, is a fully automatic coffee machine
that allows all beverages, from espresso to
latte macchiato, to be personalised accord-
ing to one’s taste.
An app, which is supported by both iOS
and Android, allows users to create their
favourite cup of coffee, without having to
manually control the PrimaDonna Elite
Experience.
For coffee aficionados, the experience

does not end there, as the Eversys Cameo
espresso machine attempts to make every-
one a barista!
The Eversys e’Foam system provides a
two-step barista solution and allows milk
to be textured by product type. This is
achieved through the Micro Air Dosing
(MAD) system controlled electronically,
using the screen’s steam wheel selector.
Once the flavour profiles and recipes
have been established, the e’Barista system
reproduces them through electronic control
and adjustment of the grinder and powder
quantity.
Touch pad simplicity means that training
and utilisation are done through intuitive
navigation, moving through the various
screens and programme keys. Moreover,
once a machine has been programmed, all
parameters can be saved and utilised to
programme all further processes.
“We see the future as making the job as
simple as possible for customers in both
the hospitality and consumer sectors,” says
Mitchell.
“We are here at FHA2018 to address a
market that is looking for innovative solu-
tions, and to demonstrate how our automa-
tion technology can share important data
and information.”
