What inspires you most about designing for both women and men, and how does your creative process differ between the two?
I love exploring what makes womenswear and menswear beautifully different.
When I design for women, I love celebrating the female body, its curves, movement, softness, and strength. I want my clients to put on one of my pieces and feel beautiful, confident, and empowered. There is something magical about seeing how the right garment can change not only how a woman looks, but also how she carries herself.
Menswear takes me into a completely different world. I am fascinated by classic masculinity and by a time when dressing well was part of everyday life. When I design for men, my imagination often travels to England and to another era, when men wore beautifully tailored suits and there was a certain ritual and elegance to getting dressed.
I love bringing that feeling into the present through classic tailoring with modern touches, unexpected colors, and exceptional natural fabrics such as wool and alpaca, as well as Pima cotton for shirts.
The creative languages are different, but the intention is the same. I want the person wearing my designs to feel special.
