A conversation with Hugo Boss, men’s stylist, Georgi T’Veilil:
Lauren: When I’m selecting what to wear, I often check in with my girlfriends to get their opinions and see what their all wearing, I tend to spend hours getting ready – tell me, just how long does a guy go
through their wardrobe before
picking something out?
Geori: Definitely not as
long as a lady, but with
guys we like things
easy and effortless.
Which is why it’s
important for men
to have staples that
can be inter-
changeable, thus
making it a less, is
more, wardrobe. The
advantage is less
choices leads to a
quicker decision.
Lauren: What are a couple
factors that a man should
consider when shopping
for clothes?
Georgi: Comfort. Men are
looking for stylish comfort.
Comfort is the key to being
elevated. Men today want a
wardrobe that is fitted but not
constricted. Men want a wardrobe
that effortlessly levels up to their
business and social lifestyle.
Lifestyle. Men are looking for
the style and flexibility that balances alongside their multiple roles. Men who travel, want to travel light. When traveling a man generally hits the ground running leaving little time to change from a plane ride to a board room to a business dinner. Thus, the clothing must be elevated but functional. No man wants to unpack a suitcase to press a business shirt. Synthetic material is a much
more ideal fabric as it allows
a guy to breathe and move
comfortably. Additionally,
the business jacket is
universal. Whether on a 5
AM plane ride in jeans or at a 5
PM cocktail gathering, the
business jacket is a man’s best
friend.
