One message remained clear throughout the morning: as women, we must learn to advocate for ourselves. That can mean speaking up in a doctor’s office, asking more questions, listening to what our bodies are telling us, and learning to understand and accept how our bodies and health change throughout different stages of life. These are not always easy

conversations to have, but hearing women speak so openly about their own experiences made them feel a little less intimidating and a lot more necessary.

We also explored the ways wellness can be found in the moments when we

intentionally care for ourselves. Something as simple as a spa visit can offer an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. Wellness does not always have to be complicated. Sometimes it begins with recognizing what you need and allowing yourself the time and space to prioritize it.

There were moments throughout the panel when I could feel just how deeply the stories being shared were resonating with our audience. There was emotion, understanding, and an incredible sense of compassion between the women onstage and those sitting in the audience. It became the kind of

warm environment where someone could hear a powerful or vulnerable story and recognize a piece of their own experience in it.

That feeling stayed with me long after the event ended. I walked away inspired and thinking differently about what it really means to be well. There is no single version of wellness that works for every woman, and what we need will continue to change as we do. It is about knowing ourselves well enough to recognize when we need to ask questions, speak up, seek support, slow down, or simply make more room for ourselves.

As Fete Lifestyle Magazine turns its focus to wellness this month, I keep coming back to what I witnessed at Wellness in Action. The morning reminded me that wellness truly is something we put into practice. It is something we choose to prioritize and continue to redefine throughout every season of our lives.

After spending a morning surrounded by women willing to share their knowledge, experiences, and stories, I walked away with one reminder that continues to stick with me: taking care of ourselves may be personal, but we do not have to do it alone.
