the changes and stages in our development as human beings. Having feelings of sadness, loss of energy or loss of focus is not uncommon. It is the severity and frequency of your symptoms and how they impact your daily functioning, that guides your decision to reach out for help.
Some signs of depression that can occur consistently for a 2-week period and are a change from your prior functioning are depressed mood, reduced energy, change in sleep pattern, reduced concentration or decision-making, feeling worthless and thoughts of death. Some frequent thoughts may be, "I am not good enough," "I am not worthy of love," "I can’t do anything right," "things will never get better," and so on.
