Man! I don’t even know where to start. All I know is that this current election in the U.S. encompasses a lot of things. There have been insults, lying, drama, protests, vulgarity, violence and did I mention DRAMA? I think we’ve all been witnessing a political debacle that has taken over the airwaves and social media, and has garnered the attention of everyone in the entire world. Now, let’s be honest. This very bad, but equally entertaining reality show of an election features two candidates that clearly have a lot of baggage they bring to the party. If you like or just tolerate one, then you probably hate the other. Maybe hate is too strong a word, so let’s just say that you harbor a lot of disdain for one of them. Throughout this campaign some of the things

that we’ve seen and

heard from the

candidates have been

pretty shocking,

unbelievable and

even somewhat

hilarious. But what

has not been funny is

the way people are

reacting to this

election and the

rhetoric being posted

on social media. As

I’ve sat back and read

comment after

comment from folks

that I’m connected to,

primarily on Facebook,

it has allowed me to discover who people really are and question maybe what they think about me or other minorities, including women. In fact, I was recently at a social event and a friend and I started having a casual conversation about the election. He mentioned the name of a mutual friend and was pissed about all of the hateful comments they were posting on their Facebook feed. Even though they’ve been fairly good pals for a while, he’s been contemplating deleting them because of their political rants. I hear that there is a lot of this is going on now, which prompted me to write this article.
