How has motherhood shaped your approach to your career and life priorities?

Motherhood changed everything. It gave me clarity about what truly matters. Early in WCL’s history, I had to make it clear to my producers and execs that, as a single mom, my children were my top priority. My ambition didn’t go away—it just got more focused. Now, every career decision runs through the filter of, “How will this affect my children? Does this align with the kind of woman I want them to see?” It’s made me more intentional, more protective of my time, and more rooted in purpose.

What does a “balanced” day look like for you—or is balance even real?

Balance is more of a rhythm than a fixed state. Some days, I’m winning in my career and dinner is takeout. Other days, I’m all-in with my kids and emails can wait. A balanced day for me is one where I gave myself grace, stayed present, and didn’t try to be everything to everyone.

You’re known for keeping it real—how do you use your platform to empower other women?

By being honest. I share the wins and the struggles. I talk about the hard days, the doubts, and the moments when I’ve had to talk myself back into the fight. When women see someone owning her story without shame, it gives them permission to do the same.
