How does being a woman in leadership impact your students?
Running a school is a complex responsibility that extends far beyond classroom instruction. As a woman in leadership within education, I've found it to be an empowering experience. Beyond the traditional roles of teaching and administration, I've taken on the challenge of overseeing all aspects of our school's operations, from logistics to
marketing to curriculum development.
Being a woman in this position has allowed me to create opportunities to inspire and support other women in education. Through initiatives like think groups and mentorship programs, I've been able to demonstrate that success is achievable. This empowerment has a positive impact on our students, showing them firsthand the capabilities and leadership qualities that women bring to the field of education.
Who was your biggest woman influence growing up?
Honestly, my mother. Growing
up, my mother was my greatest influence and role model. She exemplified strength, resilience, and compassion in everything she did. From her nurturing
presence to her unwavering support, my mother instilled in me a deep sense of determination, empathy, and fight. As a woman navigating her own challenges and responsibilities, my mother showed me the importance of perseverance and the value of hard work. Her ability to balance multiple roles while always prioritizing our family's well-being left a lasting impression on me.
My mother's passion and involvement in non-profit work and fostering of child definitely
left a mark on me. Her influence continues to guide me in my entrepreneurial journey, reminding me of the importance of integrity, kindness, and perseverance. She is the embodiment of a balance of grace and fight under pressure and has shaped the person I am today.
