ay conjures many thoughts; flowers blooming from the April showers, kids anticipating no more school, and of course, Mother’s Day. It’s a day to recognize those who cared for us, nurtured us, and loved us through thick and thin. This special day has been around for over a century with its roots stemming back even further. But becoming a mother isn’t always rainbows and butterflies as was the case with my biological mother; the woman I can never thank for having the courage to give me up for adoption to one of the most loving and kind woman I know who will always be Mom to me.
