Another pioneer in the art world during this same time period was a woman named Peggy Guggenheim. Her name is immediately associated with the museum in New York City, but there is so much more to this woman’s story than meets the eye. The film, “Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict” brings us back in time to meet and know this forward thinking and outspoken woman as she traveled the world and gave unique artists such as Jackson Pollack their start. Using found footage, photos, clippings and interviews, we see Ms. Guggenheim as a pioneer in the art world and have a newfound appreciation for paving the way for modern art as we know it today.
