The Reserve Cup was held recently in February at Padel Reserve located at the Seaplane Base overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami. It was a star-studded social affair amongst top notch players and spectators. These courts are quite the spot to see and be seen outdoors nowadays, rather than inside a dark nightclub.
Founder, Wayne Boich's Reserve Padel is swanky spot offering waterfront sunset-viewing while imbibing in premium food and drinks and listening to live DJ tunes. Since Miami is such an international city and Padel a global sport, many already knew and played the game, so popularity rose fast.
In NYC, developer Michael Stern added Padel to his prestigious 111 West 57th residential tower. One ParkTower, part of SoLe Mia in North Miami being developed by LeFrak and Turnberry, will be home to the first permanent padel club from Reserve Padel with four indoor and six outdoor padel courts. This North Miami residential master-planned community will also have two pickleball courts.
A few other luxury residential developments that will include pickleball courts as an amenity include St. Regis Miami, The Standard Residences Wynwood, Cipriani Brickell and Vita at Grove Isle in Coconut Grove, plus The Perigon in Miami Beach.
