Day Two:
Brunch, Markets, and Sky-High Views
Brunch at L’Avenue in The Well
After a morning workout at the Fairmont’s health club, we headed to L’Avenue, inside The Well, a modern urban village. The Well complex is a mixture of retail, commercial and residential space in downtown Toronto that draws approximately 22,000 daily visitors. L’Avenue is the place to be for brunch and breakfast. With its eccentric plates and generous portions, festive atmosphere and outstanding service, L’Avenue is more than just a culinary experience. With lively vibes and a local following, the standout brunch item was the Truffle Duck Eggs Benedict—luxuriously rich and satisfying. I couldn’t resist the Lemon Blueberry Pancakes, which were as fluffy as the Fairmont’s pillows.
Arcadia Earth
Right around the corner, Arcadia Earth offered a stunning, immersive look at sustainability and environmental impact through art and tech. A thoughtful pause in the day, this space reminded us of the importance of purpose-driven travel. This immersive experience showcases the beauty of our planet and the impact of human actions on the environment. Although there were a bunch of school aged kids during our visit, this experience is for everyone and provides some real-world perspective on how we’re currently living and inspires us to do our part on creating a better world.
