@visitknoxville gave us a warm welcome. We were shown a cozy room, served custom crafted cocktails after a blustery wind blew us in from Chicago and then of course decided to stay along with us!
Renovated after the world’s fair in 1982, the Marriott Knoxville renovation is historic and conjoined with the Tennessean Hotel @tennesseanhotel, a luxury boutique hotel. It is very chicly done, and the double king rooms are very popular for traveling families.
We were treated to a traditional English style tea, beautifully done, and learned that the tea is a hit with both locals and travelers alike with private room service and grand teas in the Drawing Room.

Angie and Kristen at the Knoxville Chamber introduced us to the Makers City itself @makersexchangeknox which celebrates and integrates local artisans and their work. We toured the Dogwood Trails and connected with local artists and got to see a few in action.
