What's in your beauty bag? What's the biggest secret to getting by on the fly? Traveling with makeup can be really tricky because we want to take it all with us. But I say we can NEVER have enough makeup! Bring products that don't count against your liquids. Samples and trial mini sizes are a must but what if you can't find certain things you love? Small jars and bottles are now sold at a favorite beauty store near you and when I choose my travel makeup I have learned to swap out some easy-to-travel products for others.

Here are some of my "Swap For" faves:

Serums and Moisturizers "Swap For" Face Masks and Tinted Moisturizers - This way you have prepackaged masks that will work as your hydrator and serum. Your tinted moisturizer will work as your moisturizer, SPF and light foundation coverage. My faves are Laura Mercier and Bare Minerals Tinted Gel Cream. Your skin will look flawless without looking to made up.

Individual Eye Shadow, Blush palette and highlighter "Swap For" A Customized Palette- You can find palettes with a combination of colors in a variety of kits, but what if I told you that you can pick your own colors? I discovered a really fun idea by Finding Ferdinand. The custom overnight palette kit lets you get creative and pick all of your color needs in one easy kit. Another really great and easy idea that I love is by Nars, The Multiple stick. This amazing creamy stick delivers buildable color coverage where needed.

Regular Mascara "Swap for" Waterproof Mascara- A couple of my waterproof mascaras are the Lancome Monsieur Big and and Mabelline Great Lash. Swim, sweat and still look fabulous. Lashes are life!

Lipstick "Swap for" Lip Stains- Lip stains last longer and stay put. I have tried a bunch of fabulous ones but my favorite is the Sephora brand lip stain. They come in a variety of fabulous colors that tint your lips without drying them out.
