It was a labor of love to pull off this new sport as it got off to a rough start. A boat broke down and there were non-believers that didn’t think it would be fun. One key captain had to rally after being at the bar all day, which he did and came in a respectable 4th place!
There was lots of laughter and camaraderie which made the effort well worth the stressful, moments like when the babies of the young adults were screaming and crying while the young adults’ dogs were in the cottage devouring 100 hotdog buns. But it all worked out in the end. So many of them were giving us ideas for next year’s hunt and how to make it even better. Hell yes! Game on!! Let the legacies continue for years to come. I love it!
