he start of a new year

marks a clean slate so

it’s no surprise that

this time of year is filled with a special kind of enthusiasm, especially when it comes to our health and wellness goals.

We love seeing this energy and determination, but it’s also no surprise that our best intentions don’t always pan out, especially when it comes to fitness routines. These resolutions often fail because they are created without a specific framework, or long-term plan.

At Orangetheory, we want to help our members kickstart their goals

and help them create healthy behavior changes that last

throughout the year.

The Orangetheory Difference – Proven Results!

You may have tried Orangetheory, or you may have heard about it from others, but what many people forget is that our workout is based on long-term research on what it takes to get in shape. The fact is this -- an elevated heart rate boosts metabolism, burns fat and burns more calories. Our workouts are built around this simple, proven concept.

Our one-hour, full-body cardio and strength training workout is based on the five heart rate training zones. Unlike other group fitness high-intensity interval training (HIIT) classes, you adjust your level of effort during the workout based on what your heart is telling you. The goal is to spend 12 to 20 minutes with your heart rate elevated in the “Orange Zone” in order to see optimal results.

We use a heart rate monitor in our fitness classes to let you and your coach know when you should push further, or when you should scale back and recover. It’s a very personalized experience – designed around YOU and YOUR individual body, yet still in a group setting for a community feel.

The Workout

Research also tells us that no matter your body type or age, a combination of strength training and cardio is what it will take to build muscle and lose weight. Our workouts focus on these facts with

three key areas:

Strength Training - A portion of our workout classes focus on functional strength and resistance training to help you grow stronger and more resilient, build lean muscle mass and improve form.

Rowing - Rowing is an excellent total-body exercise. You use 85% of your body’s muscles in each pull — all to maximize power and develop strength.

Treadmill - Whether you power walk, jog or run, you’ll go at your own pace based on your heart rate response and fitness level. We also have bikes and striders available as alternates to the treadmill.
