hen we think of karma in today’s day and
age, we think of it as “what goes around,
comes around.” We imagine that if you put
yourself out into the world and do a good deed, then good things will come back to you.
But that’s not necessarily what karma is about. It reaches well beyond these typical simplistic moral judgements. Karma stems way back to the origination of our thoughts and beliefs. When we think certain thoughts and believe certain things, even on a subconscious level, this will “come around” to every area of our life.
For example, we may be excited to start our own business, or grow our business, or move up in some way from where we’re at professionally. But we may not deeply, truly believe that we’re worthy of that successful business. We lack confidence and a belief in ourselves. Then when we go to make professional decisions, we’re going to do so through this unconfident lens.
