2. Remain conscious in the present moment.

Meditation, praying or simply consciously breathing can help you stay present. Your brain does not know the difference between the present or the past, it essentially re-lives your experiences through your thoughts. It is important to stay present and let go of the past so you don’t project anything from your past into your future. You will find that being present is simple and rewarding.
