1. Take care of yourself before others.
Taking care of yourself spiritually, mentally and physically is the first step in positively changing the world. Try not to confuse taking care of yourself with being selfish. For instance when you fly on an airplane, the reason why the flight attendant tells you to put your oxygen mask on before assisting others is because you can’t help anyone else if you run out of oxygen. This is an important metaphor because if you don’t take care of yourself you can experience all kinds of negative emotions like burnout, stress, health problems, anxiety, frustration and exhaustion. All you have to do is focus on being the best person you can be by taking care of yourself so that you are able to take care of others. Let your actions be an example to the people around you.
