ating is hard, but dating online can feel impossible. I had been in a relationship for the majority of my college career and now that that is over, I find myself having to catch up with the new dating trends and behaviors that I have been ignorant to for the past couple years. One significant trend is dating apps such as Tinder or Bumble. Both were created in order to meet people in your area and go on dates and get to know them. The only difference is that on Bumble the girls are supposed to speak to the guys first.
Both are pretty intimidating, but since it is officially “cuffing season”, some of my friends persuaded me to get on one of the sites since I am practically clueless about dating. If you are unaware of the term “cuffing season”, it is a term that young adults use to describe a season when it is ideal to be in a relationship or at least have a partner of some sort. The main cuffing seasons are around the holidays such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day. As we approach Valentine’s Day, it is less and less fun to be single with minimal prospects, so to rectify that and to get my friends off my case, I downloaded Tinder.
