SHORT FILMS
Short films find a home at Sundance as well. “Hold On” by Christine Turner creates an exquisite portrayal of our current generational divide and how we interact with the elderly with dementia. It’s a socially relevant film that has the potential to start a much-needed conversation. (Christine Turner interview)
And last, but not least is Lizzy Sanford’s “Rubber Heart,” as she pushes visual and topical story-telling boundaries. It’s a bold look at feminism seen through the eyes of a young woman jumping back into the dating scene. (Lizzy Sanford interview)
While it’s nearly impossible to see every film at Sundance, the calibre of filmmaking across every genre never ceases to amaze me. Watch for these films and many more from Sundance to open in a theater near you.
