A husband and wife duo, started the company a decade ago in Naperville, Illinois. The husband spilled a drink on his tie and wondered why his tie cost so much. As lawyers, they were sick of spending a fortune on neckties and knew there had to be a solution. In 2013 the company was purchased by Chicago Growth Partners (CGP) who has a majority stake in the nine-year-old company. The original founders remain on the board. The brand opened a pop up shop in Lincoln Park (918 W Armitage) for the 2014 holiday season. After a highly successful run the brand decided to make the store permanent as its first flagship brick and mortar location.

Opening a physical retail space in Chicago was a natural evolution for the brand. For more than a decade the company has been offering an exceptional online experience.
