Brass Tack & Bernard's at Waldorf Astoria Chicago
Shopping can be exhausting (personally speaking for myself) especially when you’re searching for the perfect gift for the special folks in your life. If you’re like me, then you will want to end your venture around the city with a stiff cocktail. There is no better place to cap off an adventurous day in the city than the Waldorf Astoria located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. This luxurious hotel boasts two intimate and cozy, yet lively spaces to enjoy food and drinks. the Brass Tack is a restaurant offering traditional American brasserie fare and Bernard’s is a social club providing the perfect delivery of classic cocktails showcased with exquisite spirit expressions. I was able to drink and dine at both and highly recommend checking them out during the holiday season. The Brass Tack have holiday activations throughout the month of December including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day brunch and dinner. Dishes to try at the Brass Tack are the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti and the Salmon Belly Rillette. Cocktails at Bernard’s are on another level and my favorite was The Treasure mixed with hickory smoked Clase Azul Reposado, lime juice, banana pepper syrup, and absinthe served in a smoking treasure box which escapes from the drink when the box is opened. If you
want to nosh on a few bites and you’re in the mood to splurge, then you have to order their caviar service. Sounds a little bougie, but hey, it’s the holidays!
