Before entering the fashion industry, McKelvey owned a yoga and Pilates studio, founded a staffing company, worked at Nordstrom, and supported mission-driven organizations focused on helping others.

Her entrepreneurial mindset led her to take a course on launching a fashion brand and spend nearly three years researching, developing, and refining her vision before launching LAS in February 2025.

“I started with a problem, not a trend,” McKelvey explains. “I wanted to create something that genuinely improved women’s everyday lives.”

Today’s consumers are increasingly looking for clothing that serves a purpose beyond appearance. Comfort, wellness, versatility, and performance have become key considerations when purchasing apparel.

LAS Loungewear reflects this shift by incorporating thoughtful details designed for modern lifestyles.

The brand represents a growing movement toward multifunctional fashion, pieces that work harder and allow consumers to simplify their wardrobes.

Although LAS began with travel in mind, customers quickly showed McKelvey that the brand had become something larger.

Women began wearing the pieces during everyday errands, recovery periods, casual outings, and moments when comfort mattered most.

The evolution represents a broader lifestyle vision focused on supporting women through every part of their journey, from travel days and wellness routines to everyday moments.

As fashion continues to evolve, McKelvey believes the future belongs to brands that understand people’s changing lifestyles.

The next generation of apparel will not simply focus on appearance. It will focus on purpose.

Through LAS Loungewear, McKelvey is creating clothing designed for women who are constantly moving, adapting, and accomplishing more.

Her message is simple: comfort and confidence do not have to compete.

The right clothing can help women feel ready for wherever life takes them.
