It is normal to sometimes dislike our appearance, but if it constantly affects our confidence and how we present ourselves, then it becomes an issue. The issue may lie less in our aesthetics and more in believing we should become a better version of ourselves.

Self-acceptance is the number one predictor of happiness. In moments when I may not feel good enough, I remind myself that I am not the problem. The world today is the problem, and it is currently set up to make us feel dissatisfied with ourselves. I sometimes turn off my computer camera when on a video call and minimize my social media interaction and instead spend time with those who lift me up.
