The outcome that provides the most reward and the least harm to you or anyone is the best choice. You make decisions based on what you know, how you feel, and where you are in that moment. So show yourself compassion when the decision you made didn’t feel good, didn’t turn out how you hoped, or isn’t right for you. Remember you did the best you could, so accept whatever the outcome, and refocus on the new goal. The value is in learning from your mistakes or past decisions, so you do better next time. Don’t harp on past decisions. This too shall pass.
