Jackson Chance has received some well-deserved national recognition. Which accolades are you most proud of?

I have to say that being personally recognized is always very bittersweet for me. Of course, I am proud but starting the foundation is all about honoring Jackson and other babies. I am extremely proud of being nationally recognized as a CNN Hero. To be nominated, vetted, and win that award was truly an honor and accomplishment.

I was among amazing company when I was named one of the Chicagoans of Year in 2016 and nicknamed “The Parking Fairly”. I was so humbled to be honored along with Kerry James Marshall, Rhymefest, and the Cubs!

As a husband-and-wife team, describe how you both work together to continue to grow the foundation.

Terry and I have worked together in business for decades so this isn’t new to us. In regard to JCF, we each focus on our passions and support each other. There’s definitely plenty to do for each of us take on what’s really important to us.

What are your short- and long-term goals for the Jackson Chance Foundation over the next 5-10 years?

Our short-term goal is for the Ping Pong Ball to achieve pre-pandemic fundraising success which will allow us to launch our NICU Transportation Program at a 4th hospital.

Our long-term goal is to raise enough funds to create an endowment that will ensure our NICU Transportation Programs are covered in perpetuity.
