4. Breathe

When we are in a fight or flight state our breathing is often shallow and short. Connecting with your breathing is so important for grounding.

Next time you feel anxious or caught up in a spiral of worrisome thoughts, focus on the way you are breathing.

Take conscious, slow, deep breaths in through the nose, down to your abdomen and let it flow out as you exhale. Focus on your exhale being a little longer than the inhale. It does not take long for your breathing to bring you back to a sense of calm. When you feel yourself calming down, you will be able to view your fear more rationally, and you will have connected to that stillness within your spirit. It is natural to feel fear and anxiety, especially during this time. But as I said earlier, you can control how you react to it. Slow Down Your Universe!

So, don’t over judge yourself right now, allow yourself to go through those emotions and then use one of the suggested tools. Work towards balancing and grounding yourself. Give yourself permission to feel great, look to the sky and be in control of your thoughts and emotions.

I know some suggestions may seem a little “crunchy/chewy” as the phrase goes…but it has always given me strength to be an even better Financial Lifestyle Expert.
