THE FERNIE BANNER PROJECT
Colourful banners by local artists line streets in Historic Downtown Fernie and along Hwy # 3 . New banners have been hung each year since 2005 , and this year ’ s selection will be launched on September 7 and available to see up close at the Arts Station throughout the Chautauqua weekend . Art lovers can bid on a banner to keep – successful bidders will be able to enjoy their banner on display in Fernie for 2 years , and then receive it to take home .
OUT OF THE BOX DUMPSTERS An eye-catching and unique attraction since 2014 . Due to the nature of the project , these functional works of art are constantly being replaced and relocated , creating an ever-changing treasure hunt of visual treats !
