Feeling the Sunshine, Spring 2020 An EHS Student Special Feature Publication Beautiful Day by Brentavia Fallin It was such a lovely sunshine day I could’ve stayed in bed the house and the yard couldn’t hold me I ran outside to lay on back in the grass Staring in the sky looking at the clouds listening to music Nothing about the music is profane You fill my soul with sunshine My heart or tender care Knowing that you’re always there That I have been blessed with an angel from Above There’re no words enough to express the way I feel when the light penetrates through my body Covid-19 Poem by Nick Gilmore Covid-19 all started with a bat, Got bored and shaved my head, now I have to wear a hat. Covid took away friends, took away school, Now all I can do is swim in my pool. Stores are closed, we can’t go shopping, We haven’t found a cure, so Covid isn’t stopping. When it’s over, go to the beach and relax in the sand, But for now, wear your mask and wash your hands.
