Feeling the Sunshine, Spring 2020 An EHS Student Special Feature Publication Summer Sun by Savannah Sanders Walking outside, Footsteps in the grass, I gaze up, Seeing the bright blue sky. I feel the warmth of the sun, On my shoulders, Turning them a bright red. The flowers open, Taking in the heat. But when the day comes to night, They close once again. Distanced by Greg Holmes What I wouldn’t give to see this sun set Its shine so bright each day. Though its warmth is calming, I’m quick to fret Lonely is the sun, when the moon hides away. If the sun and moon are persistently apart And their reunion is doomed to die Will their love begin to depart? Or will the two simply cry?
