Feeling the Sunshine, Spring 2020 An EHS Student Special Feature Publication Sporadic Spring by Fritz-Carly Andre Spring, how I’ve missed you. How we’ve all missed you Your rays of sun have begun to shine through the windows of the clouds As your heat bathes us like water in a shower. But Spring, you don’t seem like yourself Are you ok? You seem sick. Your sun is not as constant as it usually is. Why is that? Are you in a state of sadness? Your tears rain down on us in events of thunder and lightning. I feel these tears against my window. I smell the despair in the air. You cry so much- the rain is in a constant battle with the sun and I do not know which will be in control sometimes. I understand your sadness. Your whimpers work as waterfalls after hot days. Other than sadness, you seem cold. Your exhale causes snow to form And negates the warm weather. Green grass is turned white As a testament to your shiver Why is that? Your sunny smile is missed Spring As we enter the new season I look forward to your bright rays shining over us again. I look forward to no more of your tears of sadness And your exhales of cold weather Your sun is missed I am eager to move past what this may be known as A sporadic spring.
