2. CONCEPT
The model on the left begins to present ways that the constructivism
style can be injected into the existing shape of the building to create
new spaces as well as change the aesthetic of the space. A long
rectangular space cuts through the model, visible from the exterior
but also altering the occupants experience through the interior,
where they need to walk through it , around it or under it, I like the
way that this interrupts the space, as opposed to replacing it, the
materials used also cause an interesting juxtaposition between the
new and old spaces, that can reflect the opposing concepts of the
overall space, play and seriousness.
